Tonight will probably be the same observations as last night. But let's give it a try again. If you don't see anything tonight will you think about this question:
If it was a full moon on Monday/Tuesday when we saw it first, what shape will the moon look like tonight behind those clouds? Do you think the shape the moon appears will be the same? Smaller? Bigger?
I looked through the sky at 6:42, but sadly I saw no moon. I think it was to cloudy.
ReplyDeleteWilliam I like your details I think they are good
DeleteWilliam, I like how you said how you felt. I felt sad too. Hopefully we will see the moon tomorrow.
DeleteTonight I looked outside at 6:45 I didn't see the moon. I think it is the same size because the weather is like it was yesterday. I wonder if I will be able to see the moon tomorrow?
ReplyDeleteI liked how you proved that the moon would probably be the same size.
DeleteI think it will be visible if it is not raining but if it is raining it would probably be hidden in the clouds.
DeleteI like how you asked a curious question and I think that we won't see the moon tomorrow because of the rainy clouds.
DeleteI don't think we will be able to see the moon because it keeps on raining and threre's a big chance it will rain tomorrow.
DeleteI like your perdition that the moon will be the same as today but why do you think this?
DeleteAt 7:01pm I looked outside and it was like yesterday: no moon, windy and it (just) rained. I think if the moon was visible it would be a waning gibbous. I wonder if someone in a different part of the East Coast could see the moon
ReplyDeleteCaitlyn! I love your prediction and question but why do you think that if the moon would be visible it would be a waning gibbous?
DeleteI love your words, waning gibbous. Can you explain to us what that might mean?
DeleteI didn't see the moon at 7:06. It was the same as yesterday and I predict that tomorrow will be the same, too. I think that because tomorrow is supposed to rain and the clouds might block the moon.
ReplyDeleteBut how do you think the moon looks tonight behind the clouds in comparison to how it looked yesterday? Bigger? Smaller?
DeleteI looked at the moon at 7:15 and it was still raining so I couldn't see the moon but I think the moon would be full if we could see it.
ReplyDeleteHow many days do you think it stays full?
DeleteI looked at the moon at 7:00 and I didn't see it because it was cloudy. I think that the moon will be smaller than last night
ReplyDeleteI looked outside at 7:35 but I didn't see the moon. It's supposed to be a waning gibbous. It was windy and rainy and that's why I think you can't see the moon. I couldn't see the moon last night because it was windy and rainy. So both nights I couldn't see the moon.
ReplyDeleteI checked Old Farmers Almanac and it said the moon should be 96%
ReplyDelete96% very interesting! What do you think that means? (If full moon is 100%)
DeleteI think it's smaller because of the cycle of the moon phases.
ReplyDeleteDoes it always get smaller?
DeleteNo it doesn't get smaller.
DeleteTonight at 7:35 I looked outside and I didn't see a moon. I think I didn't see a moon because it was raining and it was cloudy (just like last nights moon). But tonight it rained more than last night.
ReplyDeleteGabi, I liked how you compared tonight with last night.
ReplyDeleteAt 7:38 I looked up in the sky and saw no moon. The moon wasn't there because it was raining and so the clouds were blocking my view.
ReplyDeleteToday at 5:53 pm I looked at the moon and could not see it. Probably because it was cloudy and raining. I think that if I could have seen the moon it would have been close to full.
