Thursday-Orion
Hi Third Graders! Great job on your constellation and moon project today. They look great! I noticed that a favorite constellation of yours seems to be Orion. Watch the short video to learn a little bit more.
Tonight for your blog post, let me know what you see of the moon and if you were lucky enough to see Orion, the great hunter.

At 6:45 I saw the moon but I did not see Orion. The moon was about a first quarter.
ReplyDeleteToday at 6:45 PM I saw the moon. I think that it was a waxing gibbous and it looked bright white. It was so easy to see and it looked like it was moving!

ReplyDeleteAt 3:57 I looked for the moon and I saw it. It was the first quarter. I was surprised I could see it in the afternoon because I don't really see it in the afternoon.
ReplyDeleteI looked outside at 7:03 and I saw the moon. It was a Waxing Crescent. What I learned from the video is that Orion is easiest to see in January and March. Part of Orion is Orion Nebula. Orion's sword is the part scientist study.
ReplyDeleteAt 7:59 I looked for the moon and I saw it. It was a waxing gibbous. I also saw Orion, Taurus, and the Big dipper. I tried to see the Orion Nebula but I couldn't see it.
ReplyDeleteToday i saw the moon at 8:00 it was bright and amazing It looked like a first quarter. I also saw orion it was easy to see because of the belt. I also saw the big dipper it was so cool when i looked at it. I was so happy to see the moon,orion,and the big dipper.

ReplyDeleteI looked at the sky at 8:19 pm and could see the moon. The moon looked like a waxing gibbous. I could also see Orion easily because most of the stars in the sky were bright.
ReplyDeleteToday I looked at the moon at 8:22. The moon was a Waxing Gibbous. It was bright and looked like it was glowing. I saw Orion.
ReplyDeleteAt 8:53 pm I saw a waxing gibbous. I think I saw Orions sword or belt.
ReplyDeleteAt 9:04 pm I looked outside and saw the moon. It was a waxing gibbous. I also saw Orion. At first I saw three stars together/his belt, then I saw his sword, shoulders, his shield and then I saw all of Orion.

ReplyDeleteAt 9:10 I looked outside and saw the moon it was Waxing Gibbous, I also saw Orion but I couldn't see Orion nebula because it was too dark.
ReplyDeleteToday at 10:25 I saw Orion, Leo, and Cancer. Today it was a Waxing Gibbous.
