Thursday Morning Moon Sighting

To all my amazing morning moon bloggers, good job lately! It's not easy looking for the moon during the daytime, but you're doing it!

This morning at 5:20 am I saw the moon outside my window. It was bright and looked like a waning crescent. A little smaller than a quarter moon.

Moon observers, here's my new question. What side of the moon are we seeing less and less of every night/morning? Tell me about it in your post today.

  1. I looked for the moon at 7:36 and I saw a Waning Cresent. We see less of the left side every day.

  2. This morning at 7:43 I couldn't see the moon but it is shrinking to the left. I know this because Saturday morning's moon shrank a little to the left from the full moon.

  5. At 8:01 am I looked outside and saw the moon. At first it kind of looked like a last quarter moon but I looked closer and it was a waning crescent. The right side was the 'shrinking' side. Today the moon was easy to find because there was no clouds.
